This is the inaugural California AIDS Ride, in which bicyclists rode for seven days from San Francisco to West Hollywood to raise money for AIDS services at the Gay & Lesbian Center of LA. Featuring event producer Dan Pallotta; Lori Jean from The Center; comedian Lea Delaria; Larry Graifer from sponsor Tanqueray; Joel Thurm, who raised the most money for the ride; riders Brenda Kinoshita, Megan Asher, Jim Fleck (the oldest rider, at 67); reporter Cristina Gonzales of FOX TV LA; singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge; actor Doug Savant; and others!
