LESBIANA- UNE RÉVOLUTION PARALLÈLE --see English after the French--- Cette révolution est née dans la foulée du féminisme des années 1970 et s’est éteinte vers 1995. Myriam Fougère entreprend un voyage où elle visite des écrivaines, philosophes et activistes lesbiennes ayant vécu au cœur de cette révolution parallèle. De Montréal au Texas, en passant par New York, elle rencontre des lesbiennes qui à un moment de leur existence ont choisi de vivre entourées de femmes. Photos d’époque et vidéos d’archives témoignent de ce mouvement marginal certes, mais d’une ampleur internationale.

LESBIANA- A PARALLEL REVOLUTION
This revolution was born out of the feminist movement of the 1970's, coming to an end around 1995. Filmmaker Myriam Fougère takes us on a journey to meet the lesbian writers, philosophers and activists who were key players in creating a revolutionary sisterhood. From Montréal to Texas, by way of New York, Myriam encounters lesbians who chose to live only among women. This marginal yet international movement is brought to life through archival footage and photographs, and evocative interviews with these courageous women, many of whom are now in their seventies and eighties.
