Baby Lu is a queer coming of age story set in the tiny outskirt towns of Taos, New Mexico. Lucinda, a thirteen year old girl, is growing up under a well intentioned but unequipped single mountain man father. When an intriguing new woman arrives in their small New Mexican town, the two of them must grapple with new emotions and the confusion of Lucinda’s burgeoning sexuality.

'Baby Lu' is a feature film by Brooklyn-based writer/director Emily Ray Reese who grew up on the mesa in Northern New Mexico. They are currently fundraising and have less than two weeks left to raise $25k to meet their Kickstarter goal.
