Save the Early Films of Christine Vachon & Todd Haynes

Important American independent films are stuck on the shelf because they haven’t made the leap into the digital age.

First up on their scanning slate under the campaign is a collection of daring, inventive & witty films, produced early in their careers by Christine Vachon, Todd Haynes, & Barry Ellsworth under their Apparatus banner. This production company supported new and unique artistic visions, gave voice to under represented communities, and haven’t been seen in years. Christine and Todd went on to make such important LGBT indie themed films, such as BOYS DON’T CRY; FAR FROM HEAVEN and more recently CAROL, among many others.
